These are
the lecture slides that I was responsible for, as agreed upon with my group members
for our placement. This lab was quite confusing in terms of the
extraction procedure that was being described in words in the lab manual.
Keeping in mind the suggestions that was given to me back in our first survey; I decided that animating the entire procedure would be my best bet in making sure the procedure was clear enough.
Of course, I had to be a bit creative since animating on Powerpoint is not the easiest thing in the world so, through the creative use of the effects that are already on Powerpoint, I came up with what you see here. These slides really illustrate how far we've gone in making Powerpoint slides since the first lecture.
These slides were very, very heavy in the procedural details, while we gave them a brief overview of the theory that was part of the lab.
Needless to say, these slides were pretty effective. After the lecture, a student came up to me just to tell me how much these slides helped her understand the lab more clearly and wanted to thank me for the work that we put into our slides. I think that was the best compliment anyone could've given me and I was really touched and happy that someone acknowledged our work.
